Right-hander Marcus Stroman and the New York Yankees are in agreement on a contract, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Thursday.

Stroman, who turns 33 on May 1, had a tale of two halves for the Chicago Cubs in 2023, pitching the first few months as a Cy Young contender before ineffectiveness and injuries took over. He compiled a 2.96 ERA in the first half to earn his second All-Star selection, but that ballooned to 8.
